Sanket Akerkar joined Microsoft in 2003 and has served in various marketing and business management roles during the last seven years. He was appointed as the head of the Sales & Marketing operations for Microsoft India on September 1, 2010. In this capacity, his responsibilities include growing the sales and marketing operations, driving strategic partnerships and alliances with global platform partners, channel partners, international and local OEMs services, telecommunications industries and the system builder community. Prior to joining Microsoft, Sanket worked for McKinsey & Co., where he served software companies on a broad set of sales and marketing issues.
